Susan and David first met while attending NJIT.edu in New Jersey. They are both getting their PhDs. David in Biomedical Engineering and Susan in Computer Science. I can’t imagine myself going back to school but big ups to my couple. Susan and David traveled all the way from New Jersey to Flushing, New York for their hair and makeup trial with Jina Pak at JAC Beauty . David scheduled the engagement photo session once his paper was done with school. We first met up at the entrance on 72nd Street and Central Park East then. Then hit the famous Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge. We had an amazing time shooting inside the park and had a wardrobe change at Columbus Circle. We finished our session with New York’s landmark buildings in the background Flatiron building and the Empire State Building. This is my first time shooting at Sands Point Preserve in Long Island, New York. Jue had her makeup trial done with Rieko Shiba and scheduled her engagement photo session as well. First they decided on Old Westbury Gardens then changed their minds to Sands Point Preserve . Luckily the weather held and the rain stayed away. We had such a great time starting at the Hempstead House, Castle Gould the hitting the beach. Jue and Kiet, you guys are such an amazing couple. Congratulations on your engagement! We look forward to your wedding this summer at the Swan Club .

Sara and Tim’s engagement photos at DUMBO, Brooklyn: I was first introduced to Tim a few years ago when I needed some web design help by my lead designer Nellys. He was dating Sara at the time. Then I saw them again at Nellys’ wedding and they contacted me after seeing Nellys’ wedding photos….and the rest was history. We started the day by meeting at my office and headed out to Brooklyn. Sara and Tim are pros at this. We cruised about DUMBO area, checked out the new Brooklyn Bridge Park and finished off outside of Nobu in Tribeca. Check out some of the teasers from the session. I am so looking forward to their wedding in July.

I met up with Judy and Victor by Ulysses Folk House in downtown Manhattan. From there, we walked along the Battery City Park area.  I love shooting at Battery Park City.  My eyes open to different views and ideas every time I shoot here. Downtown Manhattan is definitely a must-shoot location.  We finished in Chinatown’s Peking Duck House, Judy’s parents are the proud owners!  I had to ask one of the staff members to hold my Xeon flashlight. Last Saturday I had the pleasure of covering Ryan and Stephen’s engagement session in Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. We had such amazing weather and the Sakura Matsuri Festival was also taking place. There were so many people dressed up as Japanese cartoon characters and we had the honor graced by the presence of a geisha. We toured the Gardens where so many wedding couples come to take their engagement and wedding photos and finally finished our session in front of the Brooklyn Museum.

I had the pleasure of photography Karina and John’s engagement session in Battery Park City, New York yesterday.  It was such a beautiful day with so many activities happening at the location.  Here are some sneak peeks from the engagement session.  Karina’s family is also our family friend.  I cannot wait for their wedding in May.  Can you find the couple in the last image?

Joanne and Victor had a beautiful New York Wedding at Jade Asian Restaurant in New York, NY. They are both residing in Glendale, CA. Victor’s mom Mrs. Lew was so delightful to work with. She planned everything for them while they were in California.
